Video Premiere: Snarlin’ Yarns | “Electric Prairie Rain”

SwR is pleased to premiere the video for “Electric Prairie Rain” by our pals the Snarlin’ Yarns, with art by Claire Krueger. Their new album, It Never Ends, is out today on Dial Back Sound. A note from songwriter-banjo slinger Jason Barrett-Fox:

“Electric Prairie Rain” is a triptych in which each panel represents a different perspective on a love that has crashed and burned. And though each verse characterizes a different engagement with the same traumatic event, this cleavage is answered by a full-chorus rejoinder, reminding the wanderer, the leave-er, the leave-ee, and the listeners that they are not alone, that what looks like an end is an illusion. The roads across the Midwestern plains are long, the song reminds us, as all our friends past and present join in the chorus to help us carry our loss and remind us that somewhere down that long road may await redemption.
