Christina MacSweeney

Christina MacSweeney has translated works by such authors as Valeria Luiselli, Julián Herbert, and Jazmina Barrera. She has also contributed to anthologies of Latin American literature and published shorter translations, articles, interviews, and collaborations on a wide variety of platforms. Her translation of Daniel Saldaña París’s novel Ramifications was a finalist for the Valle Inclán Translation Prize (2021), in 2024, she was granted a Sundial Literary Translation Award for Verónica Gerber Bicecci’s The Company and her translation of Jazmina Barrera’s The Queen of Swords won the 2025 Cercador prize.
